• Hi New GDPR regulation requires to give a subscriber a way to remove his subscription by himselve. In a newsletter there is a link present to do that.
But how to do that without having the newsletter. GDPR describes that a subscriber should be able to unsubscribe himself !! So even without possessing a newsletter it should be possible to enter a mail address and select “Unsubscribe”, and then sent a mail confirming all data has been removed !!
There exists a plugin that provides this possibillity through Form 7 plugin.
That should not be necessary in my opinion as MailPoet should be compliant to GPDR
    Thanks for your help
    Peter

  • Hi @psmits1567,

They can unsubscribe by clicking on the Unsubscribe link (directly from the newsletter, like you’ve said) or by accessing the Manage Subscription page.

Then they can change their status to Unsubscribe and be removed from all Lists.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply, but as I tried to explain that is not enough !
The subscription form should also provide a link to unsubscribe directly.
Now the subscriber does not have a newsletter, and is not able to unsubscribe.
Or he has to send a mail seperately to the site, demanding to unsubscribe from the mail list.
you cannot access Manage Subcription page without receiving a mail containing the link to this page as far as I know.
    Regards,
