Hi, I’m trying to improve SSA compliancy to GDPR by following your guide on the subject, but even after setting a default country for the phone number, my booking form is still making requests to ip2c.org.
And, as my adblocker is preventing this request, there’s a second one sent to ip-api.com.
This shouldn’t happen as you state it: “Set a default phone number country in the SSA General settings, so that the plugin no longer makes that external call.”
Hello @eatse, thanks for reaching out to us! We do have a bug fix for this that is currently in QA and undergoing review. Once this fix goes live, we’ll reach back out with an update and let you know so you can update to the latest version.
I appreciate your patience while we thoroughly tested the fix for this. Our latest release, version 1.6.7.22, now includes the patch to prevent the ip2c.org API from being made when the default country code is set for the phone number field.
Could you update the plugin and double-check this is resolved?
Tried today with the latest version and the problem is still here as you can see : I set up a page with only the appointment form, and tried choosing France and US default country
@eatse I appreciate the update. Could you reach out directly to our support team with a link to the booking page you’re testing with? We’d be happy to take a closer look.
@eatse I double-checked on my end, and I’m sorry, it seems like I got the releases and updates confused. The patch with the ip2c.org fix is not expected to come out until next Tuesday. However if you reach out to our inbox, I’d be happy to share a copy of next weeks release with you.
