• Hi,

I am citizen of the European Union and I wanted my account’s data deleted based on GDPR.

I visited https://wordpress.org/about/privacy/data-export-request/ but it turns out that banned users cannot request that since it is required to login first.

I shall clarify that the law guarantees me a proceeding of my request over my data which cannot be hold like that just because you banned the account.

A GDPR request should happen regardless of the status of the account.

You can read more about GDPR here – https://gdpr.eu/

You can read more about the GDPR fines here – https://gdpr.eu/fines/

You can see a track of fined companies here – https://www.enforcementtracker.com/

I also found other people online stating the same thing.

Keep in mind I will attach all that to a report to the European Commissioner regarding that tomorrow.

There are EU-US trade agreements, international agreements and international laws. If you want to operate on the EU market, you should follow the laws.
