    Hi,

Regarding to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) coming May 2018, could you please advise if:

    – SiteOrigin Page Builder and Widgets Bundle are setting cookies with personal information from visitors, like IP-address,…?

    – Are they collecting, storing or sending personal information from visitors locally or externally?

    Thanks,
    Elise

    Hi Elise,

SiteOrigin Page Builder and the SiteOrgin Widget Bundle do not set cookies for users on the frontend (copy and paste does set a cookie, but that’s not something that will affect your users)

We do not store or send any personal information of your users/visitors.

    hex alexgso,

will there be a way to deactivate files like google fonts (which may also cause trouble if you dont host the fonts on your server) so i can provide them on my own server?

    Hi @ohzen

If you’d like, you can deactivate Google Fonts by selecting a web safe font from the various font settings drop-down list in the widget settings.

    Hi ohzen,

Ah. Sorry, you’re right – I thought you were specifically asking about our widgets directly rather than the fonts aspect of them. Regardless, if you do decide to use any Google Fonts, you’ll need to make a note of this in your privacy policy.
