    Hello,

with GDPR there is a risk to use social share buttons, because when the visitor enters your website, scripts are loaded, and Facebook etc. receives your visitor’s IP immediately.

A solution or work around is Shariff Wrapper, which makes social buttons compliant to GDPR.

What about Highlight and Share: Are your social share buttons GDPR compliant?

    Kind regards,
    Dennis

Highlight and Share are not technically social share buttons. They hit an endpoint, which allows you to connect to third-party services and no social sharing scripts are loaded at all.

So it would appear since no data is being loaded from third-party assets, then it is indeed GDPR compliant.
