    Hi WPJM

As I just saw on your page your plugin seems to be not at all GDPR compliant as it is capable to collect data from users visiting the website without that they will know about it.

For the same reasons, we may also track visitor interactions on pages where WP Job Manager is running as a plugin (for example, which links are clicked). WP Job Manager users should notify their own users about the data that is being collected.

Unfortunately, you do not specify what data exactly gets collected, in what form and where it gets stored – i.e. on servers in the US which underly the US Law which is not conform the GDPR. Is the data encrypted, anonymized, with or without IP etc. many open questions.

Can you please explain how you will achieve GDPR compliance until 25 May 2018 in your plugin by design as required?

We are working away on getting ready for the GDPR and expect to be in compliance with the GDPR requirements by May 2018 when the GDPR goes into effect. You can read more about our efforts at the following link:

Please continue to check the link above for updates as we launch new features to enhance user privacy and data choice ahead of May 2018, and beyond.

    Any News here?

    Hey there,

For usage tracking, nothing about the visitor is currently tracked. The line from the documentation that you quoted is included there in case we decide to implement something in the future.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
