 * Hi,
 * In light of the upcoming GDPR regulations, does this plugin store personal information
   in any way and make use of cookies?
 * Thanks

 * I was about to ask the same.
    I think we have to anonymize the logged IPs in
   the options. As far as I know, this is the only change the have to make to be
   GDPR compliant. The question is, do we have to disable IP logging completely,
   or is the anonymize option enough?
 * It would be nice if someone could give more information about this, because it’s
   urgent.

 * In my personal opinion IP masking is sufficient to meet GDPR but I’m not a lawyer
   and I cannot answer the question about what is required for laws relevant to
   you.
 * The plugin does not use cookies and has no access to personal information.

 * Thank you. Can you please tell me what exactly I lose when I disable the IP loggin
   completely?

 * The IP address is not collected or is masked.

 * I mean what functionality/feature do I lose? I’m trying to figure out if I can
   just disable it completely.

 * As I said, the IP address is not collected, or is masked.

 * And the rest of the plugin will behave as before? Or does that have any cascading
   effect? It’s literally just not seing the IP adress in the log? What about the
   stuff under “Referrer / User Agent”?

 * It disables or masks the IP address only.

 * I don’t know if you are in a bad mood, but don’t forget that not everyone understands
   this stuff as well as you do.
    Thanks anways.

 * I am not in a bad mood, and I’m sorry you would interpret it as that, or think
   that I’m not trying to help. I don’t spend my time in the forum to feel superior.
 * You asked what functionality is lost when you disable IP logging, and I replied
   as simply as seemed appropriate – IP logging would be disabled. That is truly
   all that happens. I don’t know how to else to reply so that it still answers
   the question and doesn’t make you think there is something else.
 * So again, my not-in-a-bad-mood answer is simply: it disables the IP logging.
   It does not affect the plugin in any other way, and does not have any cascading
   effect.

 * Sorry to jump in here – how do you disable the IP?
 * Thanks
