    Hi,

Save in cookie (stored in user browser):
    – download id

Save in database (stored in website owner server):
    – user id (if user logged in)
    – user ip
    – user agent
    – download id
    – download date

If you have any problems with this or suggestions for modification, please write me and try to help. 🙂

    Sincerely,
    Lana Codes

    Hi Lana Codes,

many thanks for the fast answer!

Is it necessary to store the User Data?

    Best regards

Yes, it is necessary to store these data to run the download counter.
If necessary, I can do a change (plugin update) to enable and disable the download counter. If turned off, no user data is stored.

    Sincerely,
    Lana Codes
