    Regards

  • Hi @wyse92

    What plugin are you referring to?

    Hi, Email Subscribers & Newsletters of course ??

    @wyse92

    Sorry,I am wondering if you were a pro version of the obvious as I am the free version and looking to find out what Icegram have done to enhance their free version 3.4.12.

    If they have added a preference popup for notifications for GDPR then that great news?

    Andrew

    Hello @wyse92

    I have just spotted the update and initiated it, thanks for starting this thread and alerting subscribers to the update (v3.5)

    Where exactly is that term you are asking about “termpopup” is it in the email subscribers plugin or the additional mandatory GDPR plugin?

    This would indicate that there maybe a preference link sent with the notification mail, however I can’t find it anywhere.. could be wood for trees.. 🙂

    Thanks once again..

    in the email subscribers plugin, in post notification / your notification / “content type” (optional). 😉

    Hi @wyse92

    Thank very much for your reply..

    Do you have the Pro version?

    I don’t seem to have that last 2 path items in – post notifications – / your notification / “content type” (optional).

    Maybe this is only an option in the pro version?

    Well this means our subscribers have no direct access to their personal details. I was hoping the “{{termpopup}}” as an extra variable that was an additional link that could be placed next to the unsubscribe link to allow users to click on and edit or update their account details.

    This kinda mean this free plugin is redundant because it doe not lend itself to the users being able to access directly to the above (subscribers list).

    The GDPR additional plugin is NOT a good option either, as it does not list the searched user in the metatable results for the email subscribers Db (subscribers list), I am curious why they provided this if its not going to provide the base function?

    This is only a generic approach which only gives an extra custom check box on the subscribers widget but then does not call back the data on your subscribers list and is not maintained by Icegram.

    Think I will have to go another route as a non profit if it is a Pro version extra, they can’t afford $120 a year… but could have afforded to donate once in a while.

    Sorry to go on.. but would much appreciate the heads up to know if you have the pro version or not?

    Hi

    I had the professional version, but I uninstalled it because there was a bug. I did not reinstall it at this day. Maybe that there are tracks in plugin?

    I think that the use of the plugin GDPR is a solution in the urgency. I hope that Icegram work on a solution to come more compatible, because GDPR plugin is in conflict with another plugin of mines.

    @wyse92

    Thank you for your update it is very much appreciated.

    You are welcome.

    There is no such setting in Email Subscribers. I guess this is available in GDPR plugin?

    in the email subscribers plugin, in post notification / your notification / “content type” (optional)

    We have not added any such setting. Please share a screenshot where you are seeing this.

    @andrewmperryman ,

    Maybe this is only an option in the pro version?

    Nope. It is not.

    We cannot talk more Pro version here but we can assure you that all the GDPR related changes is and will be made in core Email Subscribers and not in Paid version.

    The GDPR additional plugin is NOT a good option either, as it does not list the searched user in the metatable results for the email subscribers Db (subscribers list), I am curious why they provided this if its not going to provide the base function?

    I will report it to developer of GDPR plugin. Meanwhile, you can use default functionality in WordPress 4.9.6.

    Hello,

    here is a snapshot about this option
    in the email subscribers plugin, in post notification / your notification /modify/ “content type” (optional)

    termpopup choice

    It’s possible to uncheck this button, but didn’t see difference.

    It could be plugged by another plugin, but curious. I am using GDPR, WP Terms Popup (but noting about that) and Cookienotice.

    Please note this is not a real problem at this time, so don’t waste your time about this because we are all very busy by GDPR (I think for a long time).

    @wyse92 ,

    That checkbox is coming from WP Terms Popup plugin. I’m guessing that WP Terms Popup plugin is a custom post type and hence it is showing up there.

    Check this screenshot. It states that custom post type will be visible where you are seeing termpopup.
