# Garbage help me

 * Alright, so i cant get this thing to work. Im doing the “famous 5 minute install”
   so i change the stuff i need to change in the first text item, then i upload 
   everything to my server with filezilla, then im stuck, according to the read 
   me i click on the link that goes to the install.php, when i do that it just brings
   up a text document. What is the magic i am supposed to use to get this to work?

 * Have you tried browsing to the install file? That is, use IE or whatever and 
   go to:

 * im not sure if i have php running on my server, how do i check if i do?

 * create a file named test.php. In it, put:
 * `<?php php_info() ?>`
 * Copy it to your web site. Point your browser at it.
    What do you see?

 * You put the file on YOUR site, right? Then you typed into your browser, [http://YOURSITE/test.php](http://YOURSITE/test.php)?

 * ok just to go over some things, i used file zilla, my host that i am using is
   modwest, so i used that host name and i put in my user name and password and 
   it logged on succesfully, then i took the test.php and uploaded it onto that 
   server, and then i went to my site and it did not find it.

 * If you are not interested in using the install4free service, there are other 
   hosts that have auto install of wordpress listed in the “hosting” tab. If your
   host doesn’t meet the minimum requirements for hosting wordpress, then it might
   be easier to look for one that does. My 2 cents.

 * You need to upload it to *your* web hosting account, and then use *your* domain
   name, not your host’s.
