# Garbage collection, cache preload & cache priming

 * There’s a number of options in W3 Total Cache which seem similar or to interact
   together.
    - Automatically prime the page cache
    - Preload the post cache upon publish events
    - Garbage collection interval
 * Can you explain what each of these do, and how they interact? I couldn’t find
   anything in the FAQ.
 * My use case is that we publish 1 post per day, all posts scheduled in advance.
 * Therefore, I don’t need the page cache to be created every 10 minutes. If I wanted
   my page cache to only be updated whenever a post is Published or Updated, do 
   I need to disable “Automatically prime the page cache”, enable “Preload the post
   cache upon publish events” and disable “Garbage collection interval”?
 * What is the benefit of preloading the post cache? Do I need a Garbage Collection
   at all, if the cache will be completely updated when I Publish/Update a post?
