This topic, while marked resolved is an issue for me:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/log-size-maintenance/

I can provide comments from my hosting provider, who has helpfully dug in to things to see what is slowing the site down when a comment is posted (it is taking sometimes 30s for comments to post!!!).

    From my hosting provider:

In that thread the user claims that their wp9j_gamipress_logs_meta table is only 260,000 rows long. Yours is 950,000+ in size. The user complains that the 260,000 row table is causing his site’s pages to take over 5 seconds to load.

The plugin developers say that the issue was addressed in version 1.4.2 of the plugin, you are currently running version 1.7.9 so I presume that the patch has already been applied, however, this seems to suggest that there is an issue with Gamipress’s ability to efficiently processes tables this long.

At this time I am not seeing any changes that we can make on the server to improve the rate at which GamiPress functions. I am not seeing any resource bottlenecks nor am I seeing other tweaks that we can make at this time to improve it’s performance. The table is large, and it seems like the site relies on running a number of queries through that table in order for the site to function.

Please advise. I really don’t want to stop using this plugin and have an all access pass. My users really are motivated by it. But it is grinding commenting down to a halt even though I have now turned off most of the badges that require a comment in order to be achieved.
