Gallerys not showing on page

    Hi All

    Im a complete novice at this web site stuff, im teaching myself as i go along but have hit a stumbling block which is very annoying.

    You can see we are fishing web site, little club in Berkshire.

    No one had done any maintenance on the site for sometime until i decided we needed to up date some of links to membership forms rules etc. This went well and as planned. I was very pleased with myself.

    I then went onto add some new fishy photos to the galleries and move the old ones out to a different page. Still going well i was starting to get a bit to confident. I want to maybe experiment with changing some of the banner photos for some fresher ones so started exploring.

    I logged on this morning to add a few more photos members had sent through and noticed the gallery’s are broken, when you click on the page it doesn’t go to where its meant to any more and the the little boxes that used to preview some of the pictures show “We cannot display this gallery” The only thing i have done that i think might have buggered it up is update the plugins, but i have run a health check, disabled all plugins and it hasn’t made any difference.

    Please help im stuck !!!

    Hi @southlakeas,

    I am sorry you are experiencing this issue. And it is hard to reply just based on what you have mentioned above. This could be anything. Nevermind. We’ll definitely come to a solution once we figure out what actually went wrong.

    Can you reply to some of my questions below, like:
    #1. Did you update any plugin? Because updating plugin will overwrite and might change what was earlier before?
    #2. I suppose the gallery you mentioned is a custom post type, am I right? If you are not familiar with custom post type please see the link here.
    #3. Can you tell me the version of your WordPress? You can find the version at the bottom right corner of your dashboard once you login. Current WordPress version is 4.9.4.

    If you are not clear about my questions, do not hesitate to ask again. Would be delighted to get your feedback.
