Hi there. I am using the Gallery function together with a plugin to send ecards. I don’t the issue I’m having has to do with the plugin.

I love the ecard gallery; what I don’t like is that the whole site shifts to a single image when you click on a thumbnail image.

    I would rather:

#1) (my preference) stop the thumbnail “link” from being clickable at all (so as to shift the attention to the “Send ecard” link below the thumb). The visitor will see an enlarged image inside the “Send ecard” window, so I don’t need him to see it twice.

    2) (next best) if not, then is there a way to make the full-size image pop up in a window in front of the gallery page, instead of having my whole web site vanish to be replaced by a single image preview?

    Thanks for your time.

Just to get this out of the way and it’s important: your domain name violates the WordPress trademark and that’s not cool.

I think you mean that when you click on the gallery image the attachment page get’s loaded. Try editing your gallery and make the Gallery Settings link to Media File instead of attachment page.

Once that’s done try using a lightbox plugin to make the image handle the way you want.

That may get the effect you want.

I am having a similar problem, if you don’t mind. I have created a gallery and inserted it into a page. What I want to do is have a separate page for each image that is in the gallery and to make the gallery image clickable onto that page. It’s been a few hours now that I’ve searched the forums and the internet and tried a million things. The above choice between linking the gallery images either to an Attachment Page or a Media File does not give me what I need. It either gives me a nice coherent-with-my-theme page with titles, etc., or a big huge picture with a white background and nothing else (my web background is black).

Can anyone help me with this? Do I have to delete and recreate my entire media library and/or image gallery and put in the URL at the beginning?

    Hope not!

My site is dark as I work on it, so unless someone really needs to actually see this, I’m not placing my link in here, though it asks me to.
