Gallery photos are not in sequence

I am using wpfolio. I uploaded photos through the ‘add new media’. I then put them onto a new page with ‘create new gallery’. see here

The thumbnails of the photos appear on the page in the order I put them in via the gallery. The problem I’m having is when you click open the first photo, then click the next or previous button at the bottom, it does not follow in the same sequence as the gallery or thumbnails. The order appears random and the photos jump around.

My second query is how to make a chain of photos from one photo. I want to be able to post a thumbnail photo which when opened then gives you an option to see more of the same from different angles with a ‘next’ button eg 1 of 4 etc.
