    Hi

Does anyone know if my gallery’s version is not compatible or what exactly happened?

After upgrading the plugins, the album does not show up anything except this initially last night when it was in visual mode and when I tested it by publishing.. it shows error.

    [ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”147″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” gallery_width=”600″ gallery_height=”400″ cycle_effect=”fade” cycle_interval=”10″ show_thumbnail_link=”1″ thumbnail_link_text=”[Show thumbnails]” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

However, just now when I logged in the ‘visual view’ becomes a blank ‘Nex Gen Gallery’ and when I chose the photos for that particular gallery, I can view the photos upon posting the article.

Previously before the upgrade of the plugin, I will be able to view the photos beforehand. May I know if this upgrade is not compatible with my situation or what exactly went wrong?

    my website is http://www.tasteofeverything.asia

@yc12345 – We updated the code behind the Insert Gallery Window (IGW) / Add Gallery button interface to now generate a shortcode for the inserted display rather than the old <img> tag placeholder.

What you are seeing is the new placeholder and it appears that the plugin is working as expected from the description of your concern as I understand it although there may still be a minor issue with the parameter thumbnail_link_text="[Show thumbnails]", please remove the [ and ] characters.

    Thanks!

    Hello Cais

Thank you for the response. Do you meant this way?

    ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”147″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” gallery_width=”600″ gallery_height=”400″ cycle_effect=”fade” cycle_interval=”10″ show_thumbnail_link=”1″ thumbnail_link_text=”Show thumbnails” maximum_entity_count=”500″ ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”7″ gallery_width=”600″ gallery_height=”400″ cycle_effect=”fade” cycle_interval=”2″ show_thumbnail_link=”0″ thumbnail_link_text=”Show thumbnails” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow”

Meanwhile, the whole code is still being shown instead of the display on backend’s view under ‘Visual’ while my main page has the codes if i place the photo first before any other the actual content.

Please visit my page.. you will see the codes under the ‘test’ title post.

This doesn’t happen to the previous’s

@yc12345 – From your original example, try the following:

    [ngg_images source="galleries" container_ids="147" display_type="photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow" order_by="sortorder" order_direction="ASC" returns="included" gallery_width="600" gallery_height="400" cycle_effect="fade" cycle_interval="10" show_thumbnail_link="1" thumbnail_link_text="Show thumbnails" maximum_entity_count="500"]

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais

    This works =D

But do I have to do this every time or?

    Plugin Contributor Imagely

    (@imagely)

@yc12345 – When you insert a display it will insert an appropriate shortcode, I’m not certain what you are referring to with “have to do this every time or?”

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais

I will not be able to insert it automatically when I insert a gallery if I don’t copy your given code that works.

    It will show this

    [ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”147″ gallery_width=”600″ gallery_height=”400″ cycle_effect=”fade” cycle_interval=”10″ show_thumbnail_link=”0″ thumbnail_link_text=”[Show thumbnails]” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow”]

What I meant on “have to do this every time or?” is do I have to manually edit the codes every single time I insert a gallery or is there any other way to solve this problem?

@yc12345 – I do not believe I am following what your workflow must be, there is no significant difference between the example I provided which you said worked versus the generated shortcode that NextGEN Gallery would create via the IGW.

    Hi Cais

I have inserted the new gallery my post:
    http://tasteofeverything.asia/test-page/

The top is newly generated gallery album where codes will apply on the front page:
    http://tasteofeverything.asia/

it states ” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” maximum_entity_count=”500″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow”] Stories You May Like Whisky Live Singapore 2016 Returns This Coming November Thai Festival 2016 is back at the Royal Thai Embassy

While the bottom is (the one which does not cause any problem on front page):

    [ngg_images source=”galleries” container_ids=”147″ display_type=”photocrati-nextgen_basic_slideshow” order_by=”sortorder” order_direction=”ASC” returns=”included” gallery_width=”600″ gallery_height=”400″ cycle_effect=”fade” cycle_interval=”10″ show_thumbnail_link=”1″ thumbnail_link_text=”Show thumbnails” maximum_entity_count=”500″]

    Plugin Contributor Imagely

    (@imagely)

@yc12345 – Please make certain the brackets ([ ]) are removed from the parameters for the shortcode(s) as well as remove them from the appropriate value fields under Gallery > Gallery Settings > NextGEN Basic Thumbnails _and_ NextGEN Basic Slideshow.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais

Sorry, I don’t understand what you mean. which brackets do you want me to remove and do I have to remove every gallery individually in order for the gallery to function properly?

    Plugin Contributor Imagely

    (@imagely)

    @yc12345 – These brackets: thumbnail_link_text=”[Show thumbnails]

… and also remove them from the values you see under Gallery > Gallery Settings as noted earlier.

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais

I am facing another issue. I can’t edit the options once I have confirmed my nexgallery.
It will show error ‘404 nothing was found’ after I click ‘click to edit’.
I am not sure why and now every changes I made on the gallery post, I have to delete them and redo.
