I use the paid version of RoboGallery (with installed key).
Everything worked fine until recently, but now I can’t get the gallery to update after adding new images.
There is no error message when I click Update Gallery, but the gallery doesn’t update and the images I added have also disappeared if I click on Manage Images again.
The only thing that I noticed that was a bit strange was that the key showed as an inactive plugin when I checked – not sure if there is any connection.
    Thanks for your help
    John

Could you please tell me which exactly error message did you get in gallery?

Which exactly wordpress version do you have on page where gallery installed?

When did you get this error message right after gallery update ? Which was old version of the gallery (if you remember), I mean did you update gallery from version to version or you could miss some gallery versions?

Anyway, please don’t worry, I’m sure that we’ll find solution.

Thanks for getting back to me. Like I said, there is no error message – however, the gallery doesn’t update.

    Wordpress version is 4.9.4

I didn’t upload any other new pictures for a couple of months, so it’s difficult to know when the problem started.

I didn’t check the version numbers on the Robo Gallery updates, but it has been updated to the latest version.

Did you install some other plugins which could make some optimizations of images or other gallery resources? For example some caching or image optimization plugins. Maybe some permissions management plugins / tools.
    Please let me know.

I have several other plugins, but haven’t installed any new plugins since the last time that I successfully added new pictures to the gallery.
I use WP Super Cache. I tried clearing the cache and disabling the plugin, but that didn’t make any difference.
I also use the Slider Revolution plugin that was bundled with the WP theme (Haven by ThemeFuse)

I also tried creating a new gallery with a few pictures.

The new gallery is at https://irishbliss.com/LaharanCottage/post_/

As you can see, no images are shown in the gallery

I finally managed to add some new images.

I did it like this: I disabled the RoboGallery cache on the Edit Gallery page, added the new images, updated the gallery and then re-enabled the RoboGallery cache.

I decided to try that because I saw the message “If you modify settings gallery generate new cache after save.” under the RoboGallery cache tab. The English isn’t very clear, especially since an image is not a setting, but I thought I would try it anyway and it seems to work.

If this was really causing the problem, the text definitely needs to change, and it would be very helpful if an alert popped up to tell users that are trying to update a gallery that they need to disable / re-enable the cache.

I see what you mean! Thank you for your feedback!

We’ll pay attention to this point. I think we’ll fix it in future gallery releases.
