 * Can anyone explain how to get my gallery display/layout to look like this please?

 * I can’t see any settings to change the display/layout in edit gallery options.

 * Are you talking about why your thumbnails are not proportional?
 * If it is the case, I use one of the Lightbox plugin that fixes it.
