Gallery images not displaying – hosting problem?

    Morning all – thanks in advance for any help

    WordPress up to date? yes
    NextGEN up to date? yes

    MySQL up to date (5.2.4)? 5.5.25
    PHP up to date (5.0)? cant find out where to look
    The mod_rewrite Apache module activated? sorry but I have no idea what this means

    PHP Safe Mode OFF? cant find out where to look

    Who are you hosted with? names.co
    What theme are you running? whiteboard
    Which plugins do you have installed and activated? extended options

    Does this error still occur if you switch your theme to the WP default, and deactivate all plugins except NextGEN Gallery? yes

    You can see that neither the images nor thumbnails are loading, and I am unsure why. if I open the image in a new tab I’m getting a 403 error even though the path is correct and the images are there.

    Also if I click save image I get a ‘888 B Server Problem’ error – due to this I suspect this is a server problem of course and likely something I need to change but I’m unsure what – or if I need to ring namesco unsure what to ask/query… has anyone got any ideas please?
