    Hi Snapcam,

    The gallery images don’t show, I think it’s a bug. Could you fix it?

    The HTML code in the gallery:

    <a class="thickbox" href="https://physicsforceps.nl/wp-content/uploads/wp-snapcam/5bd942a902817.x75343.jpg">
    <img src="https://physicsforceps.nl/wp-content/uploads/wp-snapcam/5bd942a902817.x75343.jpg" alt="Voorbeeld">
    				</a>

    For both the urls (also happened when I added more photos) the .x75343 part of the image link should be removed and it would work fine.

    Best,
    Caspar

    This is weird, jpg url is wrong, I don’t know why you have .x75343 in it. It’s not a general bug cause my installation is still working fine.

    As you can see here, jpg url is based on image id in database.

    Can you look in your database to see if the id contains .x75343 too or if this is something added later ? Maybe you’re hosting provider or something like that…

    The right url to jpg is https://physicsforceps.nl/wp-content/uploads/wp-snapcam/5bd942a902817.jpg

    So strange. In the database the numbers are correct, there is no .x75343. I have no idea what could add it.

    If I ask my hosting provider, the question sounds to general, do you have any ways I could specify my question? Like specific process or something?

    Best,
    Caspar

    Maybe you get hacked and something add this in url ?
    Try remove your plugins one by one to see if one of them add this.
    I don’t know how to specify something as this is the first time I heard about this…

    Did you find out what it was ?

    Hey, I’m afraid not yet. We got two new failures when taking a picture:
    https://physicsforceps.nl/snap/snap1.jpg
    https://physicsforceps.nl/snap/snap2.jpg

    Maybe they help in finding the issue? Or is it a different problem?
    The error in snap2.jpg references to the last taken snap in the database:
    https://physicsforceps.nl/snap/data.jpg

    I hope you have more ideas of how to solve this.

    Heymnttech,

    snap1.jpg has been solved, there was interference with W3 Total Cache. By unchecking Referrer Policy in the Browser Cache tab, it worked again.

    My colleague send me the snap2.jpg and I have to get back to you to see if it will still produce that problem as I couldn’t reproduce it in the first place.

    Best,
    Caspar

    I found it!

    It was W3 Total cache. In the browser cache I unchecked “Rewrite URL structure of objects”. Apparently it changes the names of the files?

    The gallery works now 🙂

    Good news, I’ll look into this issue cause W3 Total Cache is widely used.
