I use Gallery 2… http://gallery.menalto.com/ and use the remote client to upload photos into albums remotely. Very, very nice. I use WPG2 Plugin to integrate it into my site. http://wpg2.ozgreg.com/index.php/Main_Page The great thing about this is that the users from your wordpress site are automatically made users of your gallery. The interaction between the two is very seamless.
This is a very powerful combination and I am extremely pleased with it.
Oki, thanks. I’ll look into it right now!
Hm, many programs needed for that Gallery2 stuff. Have I got it right when I think I need these files/progs:
– First I need Gallery 2, the Gallery Remote 1.5 one?
– Then I need WPG2 plugin, wich is Ok I think.
– But do I also need one of those picture progs? NetPBM etc.
This will end up in beeing over 20megs… Isn’t that alittle much?
How did you do it doc? Could I get a link to your Wp-site so I can see how it looks like?
Thanks from a confused me
an alternative to G2’s built-in module that offers XP Publishing Wizard support, Gallery Remote is for uploading items to an existing album. both should be the least of your worries.
for WPG2 plugin to work, you need a working copy of WordPress 1.5.x or 2.0 and Gallery 2 – it comes in several flavors – more at http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:Download#Packages
NetPBM is optional, and so is ImageMagick. G2 has built-in GD support if you enable the module, otherwise install either of the former for more flexibility.
start with http://codex.gallery2.org/index.php/Gallery2:FAQ for Gallery 2 documentation.
for WPG2 – http://wpg2.ozgreg.org/
here’s a couple of samples sites for you:

It will be a bit of work, but it isn’t that difficult and it will be well worth it I assure you! 🙂
