Gallery from separate thumbnail / gallery title size / thumb alignment

    Hi Vincent – firstly, excellent plugin, I thank you for your time.

    I have a few queries regarding thumbnail links and layout. Please see these pages for reference:

    A: Is there a way to open a Folder Gallery lightbox gallery from a thumb which is not in the gallery itself? I want to have a specific thumb for each gallery that opens the rest of the images, but the thumb itself doesn’t need to be in the gallery.

    The small thumbs in the page above link to an attachment page that gets picked up by Simple Lightbox. The folders are arranged by Next Gen Gallery. I’ve tried inserting a thumb into the same folder and excluding from NextGen’s gallery playback but that doesn’t work.

    B: Is there a way to remove the title underneath galleries? There’s just a bit too much dead space for my taste. If it’s a CSS tweak then fair enough.

    C: Can Folder Gallery thumbs be aligned like standard images in posts? Either for for wrap around text or to have two gallery thumbs side by side on a page (like the small thumbs in the above page or a bit like this: http://sebcorson.co.uk/blog/?page_id=130)

    Thanks again, I spent a long time looking for Folder Gallery as it stands at the moment.

    Sorry for the late reply, but I’m quite busy… and lazy these days!

    Please, could you test the development version available here.

    A : Done. You just have to name the picture !!!.jpg or !!!.png

    B : Done. Use an empty title! title=””. You may also change your CSS. Be sure to change the ‘subtitle’ option (see readme/FAQ).

    C: Not fully tested, but at least, you can (now) put 2 galleries side by side. Be sure not to leave any space between the short codes [foldergallery….][foldergallery….]

    Tell me how it works… and don’t forget to set this thread as resolved!
