 * When I first insert my gallery it displays correctly as rows and columns. The
   user then clicks on an image which allows them to view in slideshow mode. However,
   something then causes it to stop working. The images are all displayed in one
   long column and clicking on an image only zooms in on that one image. There is
   no slideshow option. I have tried multiple themes, including WordPress generic
   themes and it does the same thing. Can you please tell me what is causing this?
   Is there a setting I have that is incorrect?

 * [@tkfranzen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tkfranzen/) – Generally this
   will fall to a conflict with another active plugin that is causing the JavaScript
   and CSS NextGEN Gallery needs to not be loaded.
 * Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (
   and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN
   plugin?
 * If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that
   was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking
   to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was
   probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep
   checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a
   site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing
   this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers
   may address them as soon as they can.
 * If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know,
   even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional
   details.
 * Thanks!

 * I’m having the same issue.This seemed to have happened when I updated WordPress
   today. I don’t have many other plugins and have deactivated some with no change.
   This is my page [http://zerostreet.com/illustrations/](http://zerostreet.com/illustrations/)
 * And here are the list of my other plugins:
    123ContactForm for WordPress Akismet
   Auction Nudge Jetpack by WordPress.com JR Favicon for WordPress NextGEN Gallery
   One-Click Child Theme Page Links To Social Media Widget Widget Logic
 * Any help would be appreciated!

 * I appreciate the response, thank you! When searching via Google I found this
   CSS that I added to my theme additional CSS. And I switched to an Imagely theme,
   Free Spirit thinking that would certainly be supported by NextGen. And I turned
   off all non-essential plug-ins. That may be helping because I no longer see the
   problem using Firefox which is my default browser and what I use for editing.
   But neither Chrome nor Microsoft Edge will show my pages correctly. Other than
   the home page they still want to show the old theme with the single column display
   issue. I’ve cleared cache on each of the browsers. My website is TeriFranzenPhotography.
   com. If you use Chrome or Edge to look at any of the galleries you should see
   the issue. Here is an example URL for one of my galleries that appears incorrectly
   for me:
 * [http://www.terifranzenphotography.com/gallery/birds/raptors/owls](http://www.terifranzenphotography.com/gallery/birds/raptors/owls)
 * It would be great to know how it displays for someone other than me using all
   three of those browsers.
 * Thank you,
    Teri

 * I did some searching through my file structure via FTP and Blue-host has this
   endurance-page-cache folder with cache files for all of my pages and posts. I
   tested just deleting one of them and now Chrome shows the correct theme. At first
   all looked great. But I’m still having troubles with the single column display
   in Chrome and Edge.

 * [@tkfranzen](https://wordpress.org/support/users/tkfranzen/) – I would suggest
   this cache related correction you made may need to be applied in general across
   your entire site. Again, this does appear to be a caching issue and if that caching
   service is being provided by your web host (in this case Bluehost) you may need
   to work with their support team to see how best to change its settings or worst
   case you may need to disable it (which should not be necessary).
 * Thanks!

 * The original issue still wasn’t resolved with or without the caching problem.
   That only made it more frustrating. I wound up installing the Justifiable Grid
   plug-in. Using that to take over all of my NextGen gallery codes seems to work
   like a charm. [@zerostreet](https://wordpress.org/support/users/zerostreet/)
   might want to try this. Thank you for your support!
