    NextGen – Version 2.0.40

    Hi,
I have a number of albums listed on one WP page as follows:
    <h3 class=”gallery-head”>2014</h3>
    [album id=23 template=compact]
    <h3 class=”gallery-head”>2013</h3>
    [album id=22 template=compact]
    <h3 class=”gallery-head”>2012</h3>
    [album id=21 template=compact]
    and so on..
    see page : rbcc.be/gallery
When I click on one the gallery thumbnails displayed, it redirects to a new url eg:
    rbcc.be/gallery/nggallery/2013-album/canterbuty-tales-2013/

However, this gallery page still incorporates the html content of the previous page, but in a completely invalid format:
ie: the gallery is always displayed beneath the first h3, and all the other h3’s beneath it, with no other data at all.
Why does the gallery page even include any of the previous page html?

@coderb – The galleries are actually be “loaded” into the same page as the album(s) page. The URL is more a dynamic reference to the individual gallery being viewed.

You would seem similar URL for any of the galleries you click on.

Have you looked at using a “parent-album” and putting all of the year “archive” albums into the parent-album as sub-albums.

It may require some additional organization and possible some custom CSS to achieve the same look but as you navigate to the individual galleries you will only see that year … gallery on the page rather than all the additional titles without content.

    Thanks!

thanks for the help, the parent album worked.
I guess you can only display one gallery per page.
Now I just need to build in some kind of album gallery navigation on this page, because viewers might wonder what happened to the higher levels.

    thanks again for the support

@coderb – You are very welcome … I would suggest looking at custom templates for any additional details you may need on the display page.

See this article for more details: http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/templates/

    Thanks!
