gallery description images stripped out of html along with other html

I have some set html that I modify slightly for each artist in our gallery. It’s been working fine but I went to set up a new gallery today, modified the html and it is stripping out the images. I pulled the html out of one of the existing galleries that still works and pasted into the new one and it is stripping. So at one point when I set up galleries it wasn’t an issue but now it is. we did upgrade the plugin recently… not sure if it broke then. This is a sample of the html that I paste in:
