• The “slick-slider” functionality doesn’t seem to be loading on mobile. Images are stacking down the screen instead of forming a nice gallery slideshow. This was noticed when browsing the site via iPhone, and reproduced/confirmed via Browserstack.

The slideshow DOES work properly when viewed in a desktop browser that’s spoofing a mobile device, like in Chrome dev tools. But on an ACTUAL mobile phone, it’s not working. Lacking a physical device lab for testing, I’ve gone into Browserstack and tried different devices/browsers, and the slideshow breakage seems to be isolated to iPhone/iOS. It doesn’t work on mobile Safari, Chrome, or Firefox on iPhone (unconfirmed whether iPads are also a problem), but appears to be fine on Android (tested Samsung Galaxy S7 and Google Pixel 7.1) and Windows Phone (tested Lumia 930). I don’t know if there’s something that iOS is blocking, or if it’s just not loading the script properly, or if there’s some weird iPhone-specific conflict, or…?

  • Just tested on my iphone and can confirm @darbielee’s issue. Although slick is rendering perfectly on a desktop and on desktops mimicking the iphone size, it shows as a column of pictures when on an actual phone.

Thanks both for your investigation so far. This may be an issue with the Slick Slider plugin so I’ll check whether there’s a newer version that addresses this.
