Gallery: adding pictures to custom post problem

    Gallery: Media Library / uploaded to this post

    I have custom posts I want to add a gallery to, but filtering the uploaded images using Media Library / uploaded to this post drop-down selection does not filter for custom posts as it does for standard posts.

    It filters images uploaded to the post, but.. does not filter for images uploaded to custom post.

    This results in many images displayed where there should be just a few.

    I am not talking about taxonomies or categories, just custom posts created by using

    Custom Content Type Manager : Advanced Custom Post Types

    Any idea how to solve this problem?
