Galleries not listed
-
I am using NextGen 2.0.79 I have approx 30 galleries as of now but this is the first tile I am posting a Gallery since upgrading. On the second tab when I choose Galleries from “What would you like to display?” I get no dropdown to choose a Gallery.

@pathfinder – Have you checked for any possible conflicts on your site? This article provides a great process to use: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Troubleshooting
Thanks!

Well I have deactivated and reactivated the plug in twice and no joy. I then deactivated every other plug in and still no joy. I deleted my newest gallery and then rebuilt it Still no joy.
I have noticed that I do not get the Attach to post message when I am in the Insert Gallery Window.
I have not deleted and reinstalled because I don’t want to lose my galleries.[nggallery = 40] does still work though.
I bit the bullet and uninsjtalleid and reinstalled. Still no luck. The short codes work though.
@pathfinder – I’m not understanding this statement, “I have noticed that I do not get the Attach to post message when I am in the Insert Gallery Window”, could you elaborate on this?
Also to note, you are using a very old version of NextGEN shortcodes, you might also consider updating to use more current versions such as those listed here: http://nextgen-gallery.com/nextgen-gallery-shortcodes/
Thanks!
– Cais.
I am not good at posting pictures but in the documentation about the “Insert Gallery Window” it shows a picture of the screen when you hit the green button. It shows “NextGen Gallery – Attach to Post”. I do not get this when I hit the green button.
picture@pathfinder – Thanks for the screen shot … if you have clicked on the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor then that tab would be used to add a new gallery to NextGEN Gallery, or add images to an existing Gallery.
To insert a gallery you would use the first tab to choose a display type then the second accordion panel under the first tab to choose the source (such as the default Gallery) and continue down the accordion panels making changes to the settings as needed, then click save to insert the display into the post/page.

That I understand. The problem I have is that after I choose Display Type and go to source I choose Galleries but none are listed.
i just set up a Flickr account and here is a pic of my screen.@pathfinder – What has changed on your site since the galleries were last listed/available on that panel?
– Cais.
First I wanted you to know that i really appreciate all your help.
This is actually the first time I am using 2.0xx.
i had gotten away from it but I liked it and wanted to go back to it.@pathfinder – Thanks!
So is this a “fresh” re-installation, or did you update from a NextGEN Legacy version?
– Cais.
I’ve had NextGen for years. Everytime I saw an update I did it.
@pathfinder – I’m confused, you wrote
This is actually the first time I am using 2.0xx.
which doesn’t jive with this last response.
– Cais.
I’m sorry to confuse you. I have used NextGEN for more than 5 years but then I got away from it and was posting individual shots. I would just upload the pic and link to it. But all the while I kept up with the updates through the dashboard. I finally got around to reading up on it and I liked it especially when I saw the Insert Gallery Window so I decided to give it a try. I added a new Gallery (My grand niece gave birth) and went to use the Magic Green Button and it wouldn’t work. As I said I am using the short codes and they work but no joy with the Green button.
