Galleries are not displaying in mosaic layout

I have selected the mosaic view but it only shows in thumbnails and the thumbnails always crop the images in an unattractive way, is there a way to keep the ratio on the thumbnail? Or better yet how do I get the mosaic layout to stick?

I’m having exactly the same problem. I tried setting Mosaic in the short code, in the Gallery view and the super gallery view [or whatever it’s called]. When I go back the setting has changed back to icon view. You’re right about the unattractive cropping too. I wonder if it has something to do with the latest release….

Hello @webgurumasters ,

Thank you for posting your issue in our forum.
It seems like you have a gallery group in this page and the mosaic is set for inner galleries which is loading properly.
Would you please attach a screenshot of your gallery settings ?

So are you seeing Mosaic view, Yasin? I’m certainly not. There’s no point in “attaching a screenshot of your gallery settings” because, as soon as I reload the page they revert to Thumbnails, no matter how often I set and reset to Mosaic or anything else. It’s the same for Gallery, Gallery Groups and Shortcode. I also set the shortcode for Dark Mode but it’s still showing light mode. Something is seriously wrong with this plugin. I also deleted all caches and the problem persists.

It’s working now. I deleted the shortcode and started again and it worked this time. Gallery Here

Very Weird. It worked for a few minutes then reset itself to Thumbnail view. WTF is going on? Rewrite rules?

I deleted shortcode and added a new one and again mosaic is displaying but this time the images look misty or greyed-out. Nothing else was changed and the shortcode itself is identical…

Never mind….I found the fix for my issue below….
There is a setting under Global settings > Extended View > Gallery View type. Thumbnail is selected by default. I was able to change it to mozaic, and the display is as I want it to be…..

I have a group of galleries, and they appear fine. But, like others have posted, when someone clicks on a gallery, it opens to a thumbnail view, not mosaic, despite mosaic being set in the global settings. How do I control the look of the galleries that are opened:
