    Hello,

I found out that when using ny Lightbox plugin the Jetpack galleries are not displayed correctly and instead, when ever I click on an image in a gallery it opened in a new window.
    See here for example:

How can I fix this issue?

    Thanks,

    Udi

  • The lightbox is used in many posts where I have single images.
If I’ll disable it they will be opened to the media file page.
    So I can’t disable it.
Yes, I refer to the Tiled Galleries.
    I’ll check again.
Can I only disable the tiled gallery option or should I disable the whole Jetpack plugin?

Can I only disable the tiled gallery option or should I disable the whole Jetpack plugin?

You can disable the option only, no need to deactivate the whole plugin. You can do so under Jetpack > Settings > “Serve images from our servers”.

    Thank you.

Once I’ve disabled the “tiled Galleries” the issue was fixed.

Once I’ve enabled this feature again, the issue came back.

Thanks for giving that a try.

At this point, do you think you could check your site’s .htaccess file and make sure there are no redirections set there?

Could you also try to deactivate your lightbox plugin, and then reactivate Tiled Galleries and let me know if the problem remains?

The only redirect that I have is to HTTPS.
    RewriteRule (.*) https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]
I’ve deactivated the Lightbox and reactivated the Tiled Galleries but the problem stays the same.
    Pictures are open separately.

Thanks for letting me know. This redirect rule should not be an issue. Unfortunately I can’t seem to reproduce the issue on my end.

At this point, do you think you could make a new copy of your production site into a test site, so you can see if you can reproduce the problem on a test site, and if the problem then disappears when deactivating another plugin?

    I can do that.
I have a test site that was created from a copy of the production, but very long ago.
    I can do another one.
Will take some time but I’ll update.

Well, I’ve made a copy of my blog to this address:
    https://blog.udiburg.info/%d7%a2%d7%a8%d7%91-%d7%9b%d7%99%d7%a4%d7%95%d7%a8-8102008/
    and you won’t believe it!
The issue is NOT happening there.
And this is a copy made with Installatron.

But… on my production site I’m using Cloudflare CDN which I DO NOT use on my test site.
Do you thing that maybe the reason?

    Hi Udi,

We don’t think CloudFlare should impact things in this way, but is it possible to try pausing CloudFlare on your production site to check if that makes any difference?

    Hi @kokkieh

Amazing, I’ve paused the CloudFlare service and the issue is still happening.
What else can I do it the blog duplication doesn’t have this problem?

In that case there must be some other difference between the two sites that is likely the key to this. So the only other thing we can suggest at this point is to carefully compare your production site to the cloned site and see if anything is different, for example the .htaccess file, plugin settings, etc.

But as I said, the test site is a perfect clone of the production one.
It’s not that I’ve copied the data over there.
I used a tool that clones the site.

If it behaves differently then there must be something that’s different, i.e. not a perfect clone. Only you have the ability to find what that is, though, as only you have access to both the production site and the clone.
