Gah, login here is case-sensitive? That's dumb... Just saying. (6 posts)

Okay, that's kind of annoying... I rarely type login names with upper cases, so making the sign-in page here case-sensitive is pretty damned annoying. I tried logging in about 5 times before I figured out your secret. Grr.

It should really be case-insensitive. Passwords can be case-sensitive, sure... But a screen-name is just a screen name. Right? Or can someone other than me claim my user-name in all lower case or with one less upper case and impersonate me? Friggin' better not be able to... I'd be annoyed. Maybe I'll go try...

  2. Yeah, it's annoying :/ it's in part due to how many logins are integrated.

IIRC, login names on WordPress in general are case sensitive. Ya get used to it I guess.....

I'm going to blow a fuse. I can log into WordPress.Org here but when I try to comment on another blog using this site it just won't let me log in. Keeps telling me my username/password is wrong. This is the page I'm trying to post on

@Tilly Flop, it's best to start a new topic since yours is unrelated to the original post.

That being said, wordpress.ORG is in no way connected to any other wordpress site, so by registering here - you have not registered anywhere else.

You must register to each site independently. Now, wordpress.COM is different. If you have a wordpress.COM account, you can log into any wordpress.COM site which allows logins - but again, not wordpress.ORG sites. .COM and .ORG are not connected

    Thanks I'll do that shortly.

I also have a WordPress.com registration for a different blog but the blog I'm trying to comment on is definately WordPress.Org.

I'll clear my cache, try again & if I still have no luck I'll start a new thread.

    Thanks for responding.

    Christine xx
