    Hi,

I have installed the latest version (4.9.6) of GADWP on my wordpress website. Since I have updated the plugin to latest version I am not getting correct reports of ‘Yesterday’ traffic. When I will monitor the report today, the plugin will display the correct traffic but when I will log in tomorrow the report shows a drastic decrease in traffic after 10 am and after 4 pm the traffic is shown as zero until midnight.I know, this is not the correct report as when I monitor the traffic in real time I get to see the users.

Can you please help me in resolving this problem?

    Warm Regards,
    Shailja

    Hi,

Have you tried clearing the cache? You can find the option under Google Analytics -> General Settings screen.

When I checked the data today it is again zero at hourly points after 4 pm. Now even after clearing the cache the traffic details of yesterday could not be retrieved.

I have been experiencing this issue for the last two days as well, and I’m still using 4.9.3.2.

    Hi,

Can anyone of you check the reports in your Google Analytics account and check if they look okay there.

@brideeveryday are you using an older version of WP, I’ve noticed you’ve selected WP 4.5.6 when posted. Have you consider updating?

@ljmac you should update to latest GADWP version. There were lots of improvements meanwhile.

I checked in google analytics at the end of the day and there was no problem but after about 5 hours it become correct in plugin(5 am)
    I AM USING LAST VERSION

I should have mentioned that: it does display correctly on the Analytics web site. I probably should also mention that real time stats show normal traffic during those three hours as well (both in the plug-in and on the web site).

I am using 4.9.3.2 because the always load analytics.js over SSL introduced in 4.9.4 doesn’t work in my favourite browser (Safari 5 – I’m still using OS X 10.6.8). I can confirm it does work in more modern browsers, but I prefer Safari 5 (including to more recent versions of Safari).

I inspected more and it result that maybe this problem is happend after moving my site from http to https

In my case this is not related to the switch to https – I did this some time ago but the problem has only occurred over the last three days.

Interestingly, only the last two hours were truncated today (not the last three as previously). The stats on the Analytics web site remain normal.

My best guess is that there is an issue with Google’s API at the moment – I also tried contacting them about this issue but they directed me to here.

    1. Did you made recent changes in your Google Analytics account lately? If you did, try to clear the authorization and reauthorize the plugin.

    2. Do you use a localized version of WordPress (different language than English)? And if you do, in which language?

Thank you all for the feedback so far!

@ljmac Since the problem is temporarily fixed after clearing the cache, it’s something related to the way the plugin refreshes the cache. The plugin uses the timezone from your Property to determine if the cache needs to be refreshed or not.

Strange enough, I can’t replicate it, so answers to any of my above questions would help.
