• Hi!
After I switched to GA4, the analytics shows that ALL visitors are from Saudi Arabia. Why?

    Hi!

Haha, that’s weird! Could you tell me a little bit more about your configuration? Do you have Stealth Mode enabled, for example?

Thanks for your quick reply πŸ™‚

    I activated these settings:
    Asynchronous
    Anonymize IP
    Stealth Mode Lite

    (@daanvandenbergh)

Although I can’t reproduce this issue, what happens when you disable Stealth Mode Lite?

    Thread Starter Alessio

    (@alexmes)

I disabled the Stealth Mode Lite and now the geolocalization works fine πŸ™‚

    (@daanvandenbergh)

    Ah, well, look at that!

Then Stealth Mode is sending thru the wrong IP in your configuration.

Can you tell me a little more about your configuration? E.g. are you on CloudFlare, or maybe another CDN? What kind of caching plugin do you use?

    Thread Starter Alessio

    (@alexmes)

    Sure! I use:
    CloudFlare (free account)
    Optimole for the images
    Swift Performance for cache

I don’t think I changed any settings of these plugins when I switched to GA4

    (@daanvandenbergh)

Do you have JS optimization settings enabled in CloudFlare?

I just CloudFlare, too, but Stealth Mode shows me the accurate countries. Still, I do suspect it’s related to CF. I’m just trying to pinpoint it, so I can reproduce the issue πŸ™‚

    Thread Starter Alessio

    (@alexmes)

If you mean Rocket Loader and Auto Minify, they are disabled because they are not necessary when using Swift Performance.
And the IP Geolocation option is active.

Could you check if either mod_cloudflare (old) or mod_remoteip is installed in your Apache configuration?

    Thread Starter Alessio

    (@alexmes)

Not sure how to check it on CPanel. I’ll contact the hosting support.
By the way, I use Wordfence too.

If they don’t understand what you’re getting at, refer them here. That’ll explain it crystal clear. πŸ™‚

    (@alexmes)

    I don’t have Apache but Litespeed πŸ™‚

Plugin Author Daan van den Bergh

    (@daanvandenbergh)

Okay, so then there’s this. Could you check into that?

    Thread Starter Alessio

    (@alexmes)

    Now it’s set to YES.
They said it’s a temporary setting due to some compatibility issues but they don’t know when they will change it yet

They just changed it to Yes? Or was it already set to Yes?
