GA Stats Much HIGHER Than Jetpack/Slimstat
-
Hi there,
Site is http://rejectpile.com. Besides GA Dashboard, the stats plugins I’m using are Jetpack and WP Slimstat.
I’ve seen posts about people getting fewer GA views/users etc. than on their Jetpack/Wordpress.com stats, but I’m having the opposite issue.
For instance, for the past three days GA users have been 61, 86, 117
For the same three days, JP visitors have been: 28, 32, 45Page views are similar story. GA: 168, 125, 188; JP: 79, 66, 92
As you can see, most days GA is 200-300% of JP on both metrics. Slimstat about lines up with JP. I will note that on the previous two days, when there was significantly more traffic, the discrepancy was less. But GA still showed more.
I looked for duplicate GA Tracking IDs per the advice in your debugging article. The plugin seems to be installed correctly.
I’ve seen the explanations about different methods of calculating the traffic, but usually GA is LESS than Jetpack, not more. It seems odd that there would be such a big difference – with Jetpack showing a fraction of GA’s visitors/views today and yesterday.
I just want to make sure there isn’t an error somewhere. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this.
