  • It was more of a bug in our documentation than otherwise, you have to select all roles to be excluded.

    Ok, I have selected Editors.

But Administrators is not in the list. So administrators are being included.

    Suggestions?

Just add Administrators? It _should_ be in the list…

    No.

    Just:-

    Editor, Author, Subscriber, Reviewer, Contributor

BTW, it used to be listed in the previous 4.x release

Somehow this got flagged as resolved, but it is still definitely a problem

I’m unfortunately also experiencing this issue. I have all roles excluded but it’s still tracking.

For getting all the roles to exclude, we apply a filter that excludes editable roles. Probably there is a filter defined that excluded the administrator role.

Scott, can you look in the source code of the rendered page, to see if there is a line like this:
<!-- @Webmaster, normally you will find the Google Analytics tracking code here, but you are in the disabled user groups. Change that in Analytics -> Settings (Ignore usergroups) -->
Maybe there is some analytics code included at another place, or there is a caching issue.

When logged in there is no reference to that text in the source code. Only the full GA script.
