• I installed Jetpack because I wanted to take advantage of the features it provides in support of WooCommerce. However, the load time it adds to my site isn’t worth it. It more than doubled my load time. At max, it was taking 17 seconds to load my site, even after other optimizations including minifying code, compressing images, using a CDN, and using a caching plugin. Even after I disabled 90% of the modules, since I didn’t need them, load time was still around 11 to 12 seconds. Turning the unnecessary modules off is not exactly an intuitive process either. I had to do additional research to find out that you can turn things off and on using the debug link.

After dropping Jetpack, page load time is back down to 3 to 3.5 seconds. My site is a new e-commerce site. If it doesn’t load quickly, it won’t get shopped.

    Hey @pulsewebdesigns

I’m disappointed to hear that when you had Jetpack active on your WooCommerce site it added to the site load time.

I have Jetpack active on my WooCommerce test site and for what I have, there are no significant load increases.

We’ve heard a lot of good words around Jetpack and WooCommerce and we’d love to help out in any way we can.

If you want to share some notes about where you saw this decrease in performance, we’re all ears – https://jetpack.com/contact-support/

    Thanks,
