    In older versions of Storefront, you had the option of using the “Homepage” template. In those versions, the content of the page was hardcoded and you had to use https://wordpress.org/plugins/homepage-control/ to show/hide/move the sections on the homepage around.

    With Storefront 2.5, you’re able to use Gutenberg instead. Gutenberg essentially means that the homepage is powered by special “blocks” than can be added at will, in any order that you like.

    To set the featured image section for the homepage to full width, you’ll want to make use of the “Cover” block and set that to fullwidth. Here’s what that looks like on my local testing installation:
