Fullscreen User Role

  • Great plugin! I am considering the Pro version on our next dev site launch.

My request is to make the SFB available to other user roles, namely editors.

I have role capability plugins running ie Aminimize and User Role Editor, however, to ensure it isn’t related to the settings of those plugins I tested by disabling both and deleting the DB tables that remained.

I’ve also tried using several hooks to enable capabilities but have had no success.

    Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

I will have to make an update to support that. Currently it requires the manage_options capability.

Awesome! Thank you, Pippin. I think this functionality will be useful for anyone who runs a network and provides access to admin. SFB is a simple way to add a nice option for making a website look and feel unique.

    Thanks again.

I thought I would follow up and see if there are any developments on an update for this functionality, make SFB available to other user roles, namely editors.

I’m working on a support admin area for my clients (going very well) and stumbled on some information that *might* be insightful.

If you’re running into the »You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.« message in a wp_die() screen, then you’ve hooked too early. The hook you should use is admin_menu.

This isn’t related to what I am currently working on, but is relevant to SFB as it’s the message that is displayed at editor role.

I’ve reviewed the source of your (awesome) plugin and was not able to see anything that would cause this (but I know very little) and thought it was worth sharing.

    Looking forward to an update.

    Thanks again, Pippin.
