    Hey,

I’m using a Fullscreen Background Slider for a Photography Portoflio Website.

I wanted to add some top/bottom-margins to the slider, to give the header some space.

But it looks like gutenslider grows to 100vh + top/bottom-margin. Which means the content is moved down and partially out of the viewport. Bottom margin is also out of the viewport.

For me it would be more logical if the slider would stay in the viewport completely (content + margins = 100vh).

    Thanks in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@maxnett sounds reasonable, do you agree, it also makes sense for fullscreen background sliders?

I’m actually referring only to the Fullscreen Background Slider.

What I want to built is a no-scroll page with Gutenslider Fullscreen as the only content. It works just fine, if I don’t add top/bottom-margins. As soon as I add margins the content overflows at the bottom of the page.

For me it would make sense to keep everything in the viewport (margins + content).

Should be fixed in 5.0.8 which is available from now.

If you like the plugin and our a review on WordPress.org would help us alot and make all the developers happy 🙂

    just upgraded to 5.0.8.
But it only seems to work on mobile view.
Tablet and Desktop still behave the same.

@maxnett thank you, a beautiful website you use it on, that is one outstanding example of the application of a slider. Happy to provide the plugin for you.

    Thanks for the nice words.
Being able to use blocks in the slider makes it really easy to design great layouts.
For my application it would also be great if touchpad gestures and vertical scroll would be available.
Any plans to implement that feature?
Maybe the wrong thread. But I can write a feature request.

@maxnett vertical slider coming soon what do you mean exactly by touchpad gestures?

I was thinking about how to make navigating the slider a bit more easy. It can be a bit frustrating to click the small arrow every time you want to change the slide, especially when there are many slides.

    – First idea would be to enable horizontal scrolling (I accidentaly wrote vertical before) with mouse-wheel or two-finger-touchpad-swipe.

    – Second idea would be to make the whole slider clickable (right side for next, left side for before). I could just hack this by myself via CSS, but maybe it would also be a good feature. Of course it only works when there are no links on the slides

I hope my feedback is helpful to you.
    Great plugin anyways!

actually swiping should work. for me it works at the site you posted. doesn’t it for you? the clicking to the right / left site is a nice feature we will put in our request list.

p.s. are you using a custom twenty twentyone on your site?

swiping works only on touchscreen, but not with touchpad. I’m using a windows laptop, so maybe it only works on mac?

The theme actually is a customized generatepress.
