Support » Theme: Customizr » Full width of footer/colophon

  • Resolved HenrikNK

I’m currently working on a website using the fantastic wp theme Customizr. Being fairly new to this theme I have had my challenges getting it to work the way I would like it. But challenges are good 🙂

Im using version 3.1.15 with a child theme.

After the latest updates (WP and theme) I have run into a problem with the footer/colophon.
In firefox the colophon part of the footer is full width – which is how I want it, but unfortunately in Chrome, IE and Safari that is not the case.

Can anyone help me with why that is, and how to fix it?

    Thank you in advance

  • Could you remove the widgets in the footer and see if it still occurs?

When removing the widgets from the footer all is well.
However it’s not really the solution I had hoped for.

    But thanks d4z_c0nf

When adding a widget in all 3 footer areas then the problem is also solved, so I guess that will be my solution for now.

HenrikNK the problem is that one of your widgets had some unclosed tags, like a dangling <div> or something of the sort, so it happened that the colophon was “swallowed” in the previous div (.container .footer-widgets ). The class container (without considering media-queries for smaller width) is by default 1170px.
So that is the problem, not a customizr issue.

Thanks for your assistance d4c_c0nf, I will have a look at it more closely.

Hope you can solve it 😉

Looks like its the Hypervison login/logout widget causing the confusion – everytime I try to put it in the footer, the problem comes back.
With all other widgets I have tested so far, everything looks ok.
