Support » Plugin: Two-Factor » Full Support for Gravity Forms Front End Login?

I use the Gravity Forms front end login form (https://docs.gravityforms.com/user-registration-login-shortcode/). I noticed that when I am prompted for my second factor, it redirects me to the normal wp-login.php page.

This works, so I’m not complaining, I just wondered what it would take for the plugin to prompt me from the front end, rather than redirecting to the normal wp-login.php page.

Thank you for the great plugin! I love being able to use a Yubikey as the second factor!

Hi @tekfused! This happens on purpose to ensure that all required Javascript libraries for using FIDO U2F keys are available during the second factor input. Also the plugin could never guess which shortcode and request actually needs the authentication scripts so we would need to enqueue them on every request for the second factor input to work reliably.

Hi @kasparsd! Thanks for the feedback! I wonder if you could add a hook for this purpose, so folks could add the functionality to their front end login pages (I haven’t looked at the code, so I’m not sure)?

It would also need to load the HTML form for the two-factor input and I have no idea how to make that work with third-party shortcode output.

Thank you for the feedback! That makes sense. As it is, redirecting to wp-login.php works, this would just be icing on the cake. Thanks for the great plugin!
