• Hi. Using WordPress 5.9, below is what i think can be improved/cleared up to make it barebones flexible as it feels too restrictive rn:

    (based on default 2022 WP default theme)

    • With the columns allow an option to disable the margin left (gap in-between columns for a certain screen-size) as if i want to do a side by side image the margin gap is not what i want. – basically improve rows/cols – make more flexible and customisable
    • Hover effects, if i use a default WordPress button add a hover effect option.
    • Margin/padding/height/width etc: just more control is needed. – also for example the “Media and Text” block, if i set the “crop image to fill entire column” parameter it then shrinks to the min-height: 250px; would be nice to have a height element there.
    • Menus – dedicated area is needed. feels horrible doing it only through the block editor.
    • box shadow options in the core would be awesome.
    • Rather than physical tags have a background-image option for all div like elements.
    • CSS all in the head <style> is it possible to create a auto-generated css file?

    Also for example say I wanted to build a navigation like this:

    What would be the best way to approach building something like this to take full advantage of the site editor?
