• Hi.

When you open a video full screen and play it, then use the “X” to close it, the video poster stays in the background of the existing page content , causing overlap and a mess. The video also doesn’t stop playing.

This only seems to happen in Safari on iOS. Sometimes, clicking on the “X” two times will resolve this issue.

Can you confirm and is there a fix?

  • @efishinsea I tried this on iOS 11 and it worked properly with a m3u8 playlist. Do you still have that issue?

Yes, it is an issue. If you open a video full screen (in IOS/Safari) the video opens and plays, but usually takes 2 clicks of the close button to actually get everything to close. I end up with the semi-closed video underlaying the original page text/content of the page that it is on. This may be a bug with Safari in general because I had the same experience with other players I tried too.

I am not using playlists, but 4 individual videos, though that shouldn’t matter.
