Full product path – Does not include parent-category
-
I would have bought this plugin in Pro version and would have left best score feedback for it if not a huge bug. When I select “Full product path” my product permalink does not include parent-category but only category+product_name. Do you know why parent-category is missing?

Hello!! Same issue here..
Have you found any possible solution?Thank you!!
@premmerce I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.
https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff
Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.
There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.
- Ask for a link to the http://pastebin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();output. - Ask the user to install the Health Check plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
Hi @jdembowski!
Thanks for providing such detailed explanations. I really find it very helpful.
Hi @esperosrl!
Maybe you use some plugins which conflict with Woo Permalink Manager?
Try to disable plugins which may affect the url structure. Than try to re-save Woo Permalink Manager settings and check product url.Hi,
I’m also getting the same issue with only WooCommerce and your plugin activated on my localhost site. Both plugins are up to date and WordPress is also up to date. Any ideas?
Thanks
Sorry for late reply @esperosrl Unfortunately, I did not find any clue why it is not working as advertised it is very upsetting.
@premmerce Thanks for follow up, unfortunately, I do not use any plugins other than your’s that is overriding url function.Hi @ismartpink!
Have you assigned a few product categories to one product? Like this:
http://prntscr.com/ktu588Please, try to assign only one product category:
http://prntscr.com/ktuiqu
or use “Primary category” of Yoast SEO:
http://prntscr.com/ktujvfHi, @esperosrl, @blazeconcepts!
Can you check this (https://wordpress.org/support/topic/full-product-path-does-not-include-parent-category-2/#post-10683543) and try to follow our advice. I think it would be helpful in your caseHi there, @ismartpink, @esperosrl, @blazeconcepts!
Can I ask if our advice was helpful? If you still have problems with this, can we ask you to describe this in more details? How many categories you assign to one product and do you use the primary category of Yoast SEO?
It would be great if we could figure it out together!Hello there thank you for your reply.
Both Category and Parent Category starts showing on URL link only with this solution:
“Please, try to assign only one product category:
http://prntscr.com/ktuiqu”But with this setup product loses main category
Considering this negative effect – this is not a solution yet.-
