[resolved] Full of bugs, no support and a completely frustrated community (12 posts)

    This plugin is bad, and the developers should feel bad.

    THe "support" for this software is embarrassing at best. Even having paid for support you can't get anyone to answer emails... ever. Take a look at their forums http://getshopped.org/forums/ you'll find that just about every topic is full of people not getting any help.

    The last but won't let people buy things! They posted an update on their blog letting everyone know that the plugin they wrote isn't compatible with the premium add-on THEY WROTE! Once they got around to making a quick patch for the error, no one seems to see it as being resolved and in fact the "fix" let the error continue while introducing new errors.

    This is some sad, sad development. Just avoid the plugin. Move on. Save yourself the headache.

    Hi drperil, Premium Support is maintained by the GetShopped.org staffed team. The Community Forums are maintained by WP e-Commerce users and 3rd party developers (myself included), we do our best to help where possible. Premium Support issues should be raised with the GetShopped.org team.

    Gold Cart is compatible with the latest WP e-Commerce 3.8.9.4.

    Yeah, appreciated.
    But I have premium plugins, premium support and your busted-ass website won't let me submit a help request — never mind the fact that the last premium help support ticket I submitted to you guys has gone unanswered (or even acknowledged) for nearly 3 weeks now.

    So while I appreciate that this isn't the best place to get support, clearly your website isn't either.

    I'd like to add two cents to this same general topic. I have purchased and installed the Gold Cart, and am having a lot of problems. drperil is absolutely correct about the frustrating nature of dealing with getshopped.org. I'm happy trying to work out issues in the community forums, but unfortunately, I'm not allowed to do so until my initial comment gets "green-lighted" by the getshopped team... it's been over a month, and I'm still waiting for that to happen. I'm leaving this post here, as I am still not allowed to post anything to those getshopped forums.

    I've spent weeks sifting through existing threads, hoping to find others who have already posted solutions to the same problems I'm having, and I've certainly found those posts. Unfortunately, those threads are just full of people incessantly complaining and no feedback on those posts from support.

    I understand that "Premium Support" exists, but after purchasing the plugin and having a bad experience with it... not to mention the frustration of not being allowed to be a part of the community forums, I'm VERY hesitant to start PURCHASING "tokens" for premium support.

I tried using my "Premium Support" token, but was again informed that I am not even able to use that until my initial forum comment gets approved. What a nightmare. There is no way to contact this company.

    My name is Ray from WP eCommerce Support Team. While we usually don't do this, our forum is currently under maintenance, so I try to provide support elsewhere such as emails and here.

    - Do you have a link to your premium support topics? There is a bug with our support forum (which is why it is under maintenance now), I suspect that there might be missing a few topics in it.

    - Are you on WPEC 3894 and GC 2972? In order to post a premium topic for the first time, you need to be approved by a moderator (the support team). We dealt with hundreds of spam, therefore we need to use a human eye to filter those spam.

    I am sorry for the frustration. Please send your support request to support@instinct.co.nz, we will monitor the email as long as the premium forum is down.

    The support forum is still down.

    I too purchased the Gold premium add-on, but the extra features won't show up.

    Hello,

    I want to use my support token to contact premium support. However, the page is unsecure and it is asking for FTP details etc? Why isn't this page secure?!?!

    I purchased the Gold Premium add-on as well, and have been trying to get a hold of support with no results. I tried to get to the forums to see if anyone had answered my request for help (because even though I said I wanted an email notification, I haven't heard from them), but the website is always broken and I get to a completely useless page that leads to nothing helpful. No links. Just stuff that looks like it's supposed to be links.

    I was hoping it was just because I wasn't logged in, but it says my password is wrong. I try to get a new password, and the email I get says this:

    Someone requested that the password be reset for the following account:

    /

    Username: mikihickel

    If this was a mistake, just ignore this email and nothing will happen.

    To reset your password, visit the following address:

    Then, nothing. No link to follow.

    I haver never had this much trouble getting help with a premium plugin.

    Please note that we do not support commercial products here. Only the free versions downloaded from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

    If you are having problems with a premium version, please contact the plugin's vendor directly.
