Support » Plugin: Event Organiser » Full calendar only displaying for logged in users?

  • Hi there!

    I am about to give up on this totally strange issue:

    This iy my site:
    With the “FullCalendar” shortcode in it. It’s working fine but only for logged in users. As soon as I am logging out the calendar is empty, only the loading gif on top left is showing…

    It doesn’t matter if I use a cache plugin or not (WP Rocket for example).
    Also, WP_DEBUG etc. are all disabled. I triple checked all this.

    Since this is a live site I cannot switch theme or disable all plugins at once, however, I disabled a few plugins at a time, and it does not fix it.

    I don’t get any plugin conflicts and also no Ajax errors in the browser dev tools.

    I am about to give up this, do you have any hint what it could be? How can the events be displayed for the regular visitors (non-logged in)???

    THANKS for any help!
    Dave 🙂

  • Oh man, sorry, I just found the issue!

    I had a special redirect code snippet in a custom plugin where the Ajax from core was not excluded… As soon as I added the following line in the if-statement all was working like it should:

    && ( '/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php' != $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] )

    Maybe you could add something like that to your FAQ. I lost 2 days on this now but really glad it’s working now 🙂

    Thanks, Dave 🙂

    Hello Dave,

    Where did you added this line exactly? I have the same issue
