FTPS connection wont connect

I need to upgrade this WP and some plugins.. the hosting server has FTP turned OFF completely only allowing SFTP (is that the same as FTPS??) Additionally the port was changed from :21

I have tried every combination I can think of, searched this forum and with google and still can not get a connection

The hosting tech guy says
SFTP doesn’t use the same strings as SSH, so that probably won’t work just by adding :xxxx to it. You will have to check with WP how to implement a non-standard ssh port

The best attempt I got was:
Failed to connect to FTP Server myusername@64.xx.xxx.xxx:1234

Hostname myusername@xx.xx.xxx.xxx:xxx (IP:port number)
Username myusername (the hosting user name not the WP user name)
Password mypassword (the hosting password not the WP password)
Connection Type Connection Type FTP FTPS (SSL) (FTPS checked)

Can someone help me out here please???
