# FTP Error

 * Hi,
 * We have tried to upgrade our PHP to version 7.4 as recommended by WP.
 * Everything looks OK, but we have an error when installing or updating the plugin.
 * A window appears asking us to enter the information to connect to the FTP. When
   we enter them, WP tells us that it is impossible to connect to the server.
 * Back in version 7.2 this window does not appear anymore and we can update our
   plugins.
 * Does anyone have a similar problem and have a solution?
 * For information our WP is in version 5.7.2
 * Thanks in advance.

 * Odds are it is a file permission problem. Read here for more info:

 * Probably easiest though to contact your Hoster with details of the problem and
   they can fix it for you.
