    Dear all;

    I need to update me wordpress to the new version 3.8.2, but when I try to update it asks me about my FTP credentials !!;

    I added the hostname and password and username to the wp-config.php file but when I run the update it gives me an error :
    ” ERROR: There was an error connecting to the server, Please verify the settings are correct.”

    Note that I’m hosting my wordpress on an EC2 windows instance and I tried both the endpoint of the instance and the hostname of the windows 2008 R2 server running on the instance;

    Can you please provide me with what to use as FTP credentials??

    Regards;

    Sarah

    This need to enter FTP details in controlled by your server’s configuration. some server allow WordPress to access FTP automatically. some don’t. You will need to contact your hosts to obtain a copy of your FTP login details.

    I’m hosting my wordpress on an EC2 instance and when I contacted the AWS support they told me to use the the endpoint as a hostname or to use the hostname of the windows instance that I’m using to host the wordpress;

    I used both but did not work
