# FTP crashes when installing wordpress

 * I’ve followed the instructions and when I try to upload via CuteFTP on to the
   web, it goes for a while then shuts down when it gets to the folder about themes(
   or somewhere round there). I tried deleting everything, and downloading a new
   wordpress from scratch but the same thing happened. Help anyone? thanks.

 * I’d try another FTP program. Google up Filezilla, for example. If the problem
   still persists, I’d contact my host.

 * SmartFTP is another good, ftp client.
